In Rio Grande, there is "A Cottage Community" community of seven brightly colored gambrel roof styled cottages and a 2 apartment building.  The cottages are roughly 1000 square feet, featuring cathedral ceilings, a loft over a roomy porch, full sized kitchen and bath.  Washer and dryer hook ups, hardwood floors with carpeted front and back lofted areas.  They are considered 2-bedroom.  Full stairs lead to the bedroom loft and a unique ladder to the front loft.  The doors have keyless locks.  High slot windows allow additional daylight into the living room area adding to the spacious feel.  The interior of each cottage is painted with colors complementary to the exterior color.  The apartments also feature two bedrooms, kitchen, bath living room and washer dryer hook ups and carpeting.
